WILL LATHROP LAUNCHES FIRST AD IN RACE FOR OREGON ATTORNEY GENERAL
September 10, 2024
Portland, Ore. – Today, Will Lathrop announced the launch of his first ad in the race for Oregon Attorney General. Lathrop, a sixth-generation Oregonian, began his career in public service as a child sex abuse prosecutor, working in Yamhill and Marion counties for nine years. He later joined a global human rights organization where he led multinational teams in Uganda and in Ghana to protect women and children from violence and rescue child trafficking victims.
Lathrop is supported by 80+ law enforcement professionals, and has earned the endorsement of the Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association and the Oregon Fraternal Order of Police.

Watch Lathrop’s ad, titled “New Leadership,” here.
Ad Script:
Tent cities, open air drug markets, and violence in our streets. It’s like watching the frame-by-frame death of our state - a total failure of leadership.
I’m Will Lathrop. As a Child Sex Abuse Prosecutor, I stood with victims of crime to ensure that they received justice.
In Africa, I led multinational teams to rescue children from human trafficking and protect women from violence.
My opponent, Dan Rayfield, is a career politician who got us into this mess.
He brought us tent cities, released violent criminals, and turned a blind eye to corruption in our state.
We couldn’t be more different. We can’t keep electing the same politicians and expect different results.
I know this job. As Oregon's next Attorney General, I will protect children from abuse, crack down on corruption, and take on the drug cartels.
Oregon needs a wave of new leadership - committed to solving problems and holding people accountable.
Oregon, I get it, I’m a Republican. But I think it's time for something new.
