Letter: Lathrop for Oregon attorney general
August 30, 2024
Corvallis Gazette Times/Albany Democrat Herald
As a grandmother and resident of Corvallis for more than 50 years, I am concerned about the safety of our children.
Oregon was recently listed among the nation’s top 10 most dangerous states, with 342 violent crime incidents for every 100,000 people.
I am concerned about the child abuse and sex trafficking in Oregon. Will Lathrop worked as a deputy district attorney for nine years in Marion and Yamhill counties. He served in the Special Victims Unit, prosecuting cases of child sexual assault and abuse.
He has experience in domestic and international victim protection, law enforcement and justice system reform. This is exactly what Oregon needs from our next attorney general.
Will was born in Oregon. He cares about people of all ages, in all parts of our state. Will Lathrop has my vote and support to be the next attorney general for Oregon.
